Waynesville, MO โ The City of Waynesville is pleased to announce the appointment of Mary โAmberโ N. Box as City Clerk.
Amber Box has been a valued employee of the City of Waynesville since 2018. She began her career with the City as Executive Assistant, where she worked closely with and learned under former City Administrator Bruce Harrill. Her role provided her with extensive experience in municipal administration and governance.
After a brief period serving as Assistant Finance Officer, Box was sworn in as Finance Officer in November 2019. In that role, she demonstrated strong leadership, organizational skills, and a commitment to transparency and public service.
Box is a graduate of Columbia College, where she earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration. She is also actively involved in the community, serving as Vice President of the WaynesvilleโSt. Robert Chamber of Commerce Ambassadors Club. As a graduate of Leadership Pulaski County she maintains membership with the Leadership Pulaski County Alumni Association, serving as the Service Project Coordinator.
โAmberโs knowledge of city operations and her commitment to serving both the organization and the community position her well for success as City Clerk,โ said City Administrator John Doyle.
As City Clerk, Box will be responsible for maintaining official city records, supporting the City Council and Mayor, overseeing audit processes, and ensuring compliance with statutory and administrative requirements.
