Waynesville, MO β The City of Waynesville proudly recognizes Chief of Police Dan Cordova for receiving the Distinguished Police Service Award from the American Police Hall of Fame.
The award was presented by Mayor Sean A. Wilson during the January 15, 2026 City Council Meeting, where Mayor Wilson also formally pinned the award medal on Chief Cordova in recognition of his distinguished service and leadership.
The Distinguished Police Service Award honors law enforcement leaders who have demonstrated exceptional dedication, professionalism, and commitment to public safety throughout their careers. Chief Cordovaβs leadership of the Waynesville Police Department reflects these values through his continued focus on community engagement, officer professionalism, and the safety and well-being of the community.
