On March 10, MPUA members gathered at the Capitol to celebrate Water and Wastewater Professionals Appreciation Day. The day began with MPUA’s Legislative Committee meeting, followed by attendees heading to the Capitol to meet with legislators and advocate for the water and wastewater industry.
Participants were recognized by both the House and Senate through formal resolutions and received an official proclamation from the Governor recognizing the important role these professionals play in our communities. It was an honor to celebrate the essential work of the individuals who help keep our communities safe, healthy, and running smoothly.
The City of Waynesville was proud to send Donnie Beal and Joshua Sharpensteen from the Water-Wastewater Department to take part in the day. We are proud to recognize and celebrate their hard work and service.
