WAYNESVILLE, MO – The City of Waynesville is proud to partner with the Waynesville-St. Robert Chamber of Commerce in launching the inaugural Cruisin' Route 66 Summer Concert Series, a new community event created to celebrate the 100th anniversary of Historic Route 66.

The free concert series will bring live music, family-friendly entertainment, food vendors, and community engagement to the Roubidoux Park Stage throughout the summer, offering residents and visitors multiple opportunities to experience one of Missouri's premier Route 66 communities during this historic milestone year.

"As we celebrate 100 years of Route 66, we're excited to support an event that highlights the culture, history, and community spirit that have made Waynesville an important stop along the Mother Road," said City Administrator John Doyle. "This concert series is an opportunity to bring people together, support tourism and local businesses, and create memorable experiences for both residents and visitors."

The five-event series will feature a diverse lineup of performers at the Roubidoux Park Stage:

June 13 Vic Vaughn & Souled Out | Opening Act: Haley Powers

July 4 John King | Opening Act: Ray Cardwell followed by Fireworks in the Park!

July 25 Lancaster Station Band | Opening Act: Generation Gap

August 22 Lindley Creek

September 26 Eastern Heights | Opening Act: Ali Marie

Opening acts begin at 6:30 p.m., with headlining performances beginning at 7:00 p.m. Admission is free for all events.

A special highlight of the series will be the July 4 concert featuring Nashville country artist, John King. Following the performance, the City of Waynesville will host its first ever Independence Day fireworks display at 9:00 p.m., providing an evening of music and patriotic celebration for the entire community.

The City's partnership in the concert series reflects its ongoing commitment to enhancing quality of life, supporting tourism, and creating events that celebrate Waynesville's unique identity. As travelers from across the country explore Route 66 during its centennial year, the concert series will serve as another opportunity to showcase the community's hospitality and vibrant local culture.

The Cruisin' Route 66 Summer Concert Series is presented by the Waynesville-St. Robert Chamber of Commerce and underwritten by the Cruisin' 66 Power Sponsor Coalition, with support from numerous local sponsors and community partners.

Residents and visitors are encouraged to bring lawn chairs or blankets and enjoy an evening of live entertainment at Roubidoux Park. Food and beverage vendors will be available during each event.
