Let’s show Missouri what a great community looks like!
September 28–October 4, let’s celebrate the people who make Waynesville special. Help a neighbor, volunteer, welcome someone, or simply lend a hand.

The City of Waynesville Utility Committee invites residents to join us for a Town Hall focused on the City's Lead Service Line Inventory Process.
📅 August 27, 2026
🕕 6:00 PM
📍 Waynesville Municipal Center
This Town Hall will provide information about:
🔹 What the Lead Service Line Inventory process is and why it is required
🔹 The purpose of the inventory and how it helps protect our community
🔹 What the City has completed so far
🔹 What residents can expect during the next steps
🔹 How residents can help and what information may be needed from property owners
We know residents may have questions about lead service lines and what this process means for their homes and properties. This Town Hall is an opportunity to learn more, get answers, and hear directly from the City.
We encourage all interested residents to attend this important community meeting.
We hope to see you August 27th at 6:00 PM at the Waynesville Municipal Center! 🏛️

CANCELLED Park Board Meeting for August 13, 2026 has been CANCELLED

NOTICE is hereby given that a public hearing will be held by the City Council of the City of Waynesville, Missouri, at the City Hall, 100 Tremont Center, Waynesville, Missouri, on the 20th day of August, 2026 at 5:30 p.m.

Regarding limiting truck traffic through our city:
We cannot prohibit semis, or any legal loads under 40 tons, from using any state roadways, including Route 17, Route H, and the I-44 Business Loop. The City can prohibit such loads on City streets, like Old H and GW Lane.
Regarding the timeline for completion:
2. Per our construction contract, the contractor has to have both eastbound I-44 lanes open to traffic by noon on August 9th (which is a Sunday). Right now, it is looking like they may beat that deadline by a couple of days.
Addressing the timing on the traffic lights on Route 66:
3. We are actively working on the signal timing along Route 17 and the Business Loop to see what improvements can be made.
Thank you for your patience, and let's hope the weather holds off so this can be completed as planned. Please share!
