❄️ Significant Snow Event Expected This Weekend ❄️

A significant winter weather event is forecast to impact our area beginning Saturday morning and continuing through mid-day Sunday. Snow accumulations and hazardous travel conditions are expected.

To help our snow plow crews safely and efficiently clear roadways, we ask residents to:

πŸš— Stay home if travel is not necessary
πŸ…ΏοΈ Move vehicles off the roadway, including street parking, so plows can fully clear roads. The attached image is of a Waynesville neighborhood, where a snowplow was unable to clear the roadway due to vehicles in the roadway.
⚠️ Be especially mindful in hilly and high-risk areas, where conditions may worsen quickly

Our Public Works teams will begin pre-treating hills and other priority areas on Friday to prepare for the storm.

Your cooperation helps keep our crews safe and allows them to do their jobs effectively. Thank you for helping us keep our community safeβ€”please stay tuned for updates and stay safe this weekend! β„οΈπŸšœ
